This one-time $300 fee covers your home’s professional site assessment, the careful sourcing of a healthy spring hive, and your setup in the H.H. BEE WATCH app. Since we manage the gear and the bees as a service, you don’t have to worry about the cost of equipment or replacement—we handle the heavy lifting, you just enjoy the buzz
Our Process for Backyard Beekeeping in Nebraska

We perform research using State mapping database of your property along with looking at local and state codes and regulations.
We create a comprehensive plan for keeping bees on your property. looking at nearest water sources and local Floral in the area.
Step 2: Site Survey-
we perform a on site evaluation of the property and discuss our plan of action for the installation and maintaining of the bees.
Step 2: Installation –
We bring the hive, the bees, and the gear. No heavy lifting for you.
Step 3: Professional Care –
We visit bi-weekly to ensure the Queen is happy and the colony is thriving. Our methods align with Honey Bee Health Coalition standards to ensure your colony remains strong and productive.”

Common Questions About Backyard Beekeeping Pricing
Do I need a large backyard?
Not necessarily! We just need a clear flight path, a source for water, and neat bu floral. bees can travel 4-6 miles in search of food its best if its closer.
Is beekeeping safe for my kids/pets?
Yes, honeybees are generally docile when managed Properly. Hopkins Hives Sources its live stock from proven Docile honeybees.
This does completely negate that they are wild animals and can sting if the hive is threatened. With parental Guidance and supervision when around the hive this can be mitigated.
What happens if the hive dies?
Every Hive is backed by our Hive Guarantee. We manage the hive and will do everything to keep it healthy if the queen becomes sterile we will provide a replacement. If the hive fails over winter the next spring we will replace the hive with a new stock.
Do I own the equipment and bees?
Our backyard beekeeping pricing is designed as a full-service model. This means Hopkins Hives owns and maintains the equipment, so you don’t have to worry about the overhead costs of gear or bees.
